The International Federation of Community Health Centres was officially launched in July 2013 through the combined efforts of several national and supra-national Community Health Centre (CHC) associations around the world:
- Canadian Association of Community Health Centres (CACHC)
- Community Health Australia (CHA) and Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA)
- US National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC)
- European Forum for Primary Care Working Group on Community Health Centres
All CHC members of these associations are automatic members of the IFCHC.
A core goal of the IFCHC is to broaden membership and participation of Community Health Centres from around the world. To learn more about how to become a Member of the IFCHC visit our Become a Member page.
IFCHC supports alignment between Community Health Centres, their associations, and the World Health Organization (WHO). As such, the membership of IFCHC is categorized geographically by regional blocks that correspond with the WHO’s six Regional Offices.
